Deleting a digit, replacing the current operand and clearing a calculation have different effects. Choose the smallest correction that keeps the values you still need. A completed calculation is not undone by deleting an entry digit.
Correct the last digit
While entering a number, ⌫ removes its last digit.
Delete the last digit
- Press Delete last digit.⌫
Then enter the correct digit
This edits an entry. It does not undo a completed answer.
Replace the current operand
C once replaces the current entry and keeps the pending operation.
Replace the current entry
Press C once, enter the replacement, then continue. The pending operation stays.
- Press Clear entry.C
Start a new calculation
C twice starts a new calculation and clears temporary inputs.
Start fresh
This clears the pending calculation and temporary mode inputs. Settings and saved pitch/spacing/riser targets stay.
- Press Clear entry, then Clear entry.C→C
Recover from an error
C once dismisses the error. Correct the cause, then re-enter the failed calculation.
Clear the message
Press C once. Saved inputs stay. Correct the cause, then re-enter the failed calculation.
- Press Clear entry.C
